We can personalise your housename to exacly what you would like to have engraved, we don’t use ‘machine or industrial restrictions’. Any letter type/font is possible as well as you can choose any colour matching your house, wall or front door; we’ll match your favourite colour. Before making we’ll send you a ‘mockup’ for you to confirm, without any obligation. All engraving, and the optional pianting-in, is done by hand by Gerard re-using reclaimed British slate. I have seen them in our garden but this is the first year the Gold finches have found the Slate Window feeder and now they have found it, they are here all day – they are such beautiful birds and it is so lovely to watch them.

Tourism in our locality has started, meaning buzzyness… Even if you are in the area for a few days, pay us a visit and we’ll try to accommodate you; Yesterday Gerard made a House sign, ordered on Friday and it had to be finished after the weekend. He came out of his ‘hibernation’ of sitting & reading; gentle work is much better for him! All our house signs/house names are made from reclaimed slate and are hand engraved by Gerard. You can choose your own font.
Our Riverside Studio is open to visitors again. We will allow only one customer/group or family at one time in our Studio and hand sanitising is available. After your visit we will clean & disinfect the studio thorougly. We are looking forward seeing you again,
It’s quite normal to see several Blue tits or Finches on the Window feeder at the same time but recently Blue tits and Finches seem very happy sharing their meals together.

Our Slate and Nature studio is Open again. We only allow one customer/one family at the same time in our studio and hand sanitising is available to make your visit safe. After your visit the studio will be cleaned to welcome the next visitors safely.

Our baby Blue tits have already found our Slate Window feeder. It was a coming and going this morning and I can watch it all day.
