Jeanette & I were very pleased that Monty Don took his time to visit our stand at the 40th Hatfield Craft Fair. We explained him our micro business to enhance the environment by manufacturing special products for in and around the Home/Garden by using reclaimed roofing slate and matching pieces found in Nature. After explaining our very successful and much admired window feeder we handed him number 2000! Sold already internationally around the globe to Slate & Nature enthusiastic ‘bird communicators’ living in Johannesburg (Africa), Brazil, Finland, New Zealand up to California and multiple destinations in the USA. We have now developed the ‘flat-pack’ version in stainless steel, to be launched in the 2nd half of this year (2014); watch our dedicated website: www.windowfeeder.co.uk. With the exciting prospect of looking at your feathered friends closer than half a meter on your window, this feeder is easy foldable/assembled in a few steps (no tools needed). Started as Nature watching on the 1st floor; it appears you can hang them everywhere! A present for yourself, to make together with your children/partner, or as a ‘companion broker’ for more home bound seniors; All will ‘love to meet the chirp (of a bird)’! It all comes in a flat envelop with a beautiful instruction posted to all addresses in the world. Looking for an unusual birthday present, Christmas gift or just to show your affection to your beloved friend(-s), once ‘pushed’ against your window, also the birds love them, keeping reminding us how nice the world, Nature, is!
Slate & Nature; enjoying the environment.
Versatility that’s driving Slate & Nature; one day its endless producing (blasting music, slate dust everywhere, mind on zero) the other day a nice engraving project (classic music, sunny countryside, dreaming ‘motorcycling’ away). Gerard finished this house sign 2 days ago and it is already on the post. All kind of engraving services available & all our engravings are done by hand, so all fonts and images are possible, just contact us.
Tweet, tweet, I am last years’ tenant and I enjoyed my slate bird house. Looking forward to re-furbish it (DIY & making fun!) during the coming month with my bird. It’s time to clean your bird box or hang a new one; see our brochure pages for all our boxes.
Friday, Saturday & Sunday we are in Gosforth Racecourse Newcastle uo Tyne to show our Spring Collection of Slate Products. Amidst High Street Brands, Slate & Nature has acquired a prime spot and created a special display. Already a lot of ‘head-turning’ by my ARIEL 1938……
Gerard is still busy getting ready for the big rush tomorrow!

Dear Friends and Customers,
We seem to have a problem with spam on our news site. We now have almost 14.000 (!!) comments on our posts, which most of them will be spam. Removing these spam messages seems not to work (can anybody help please!), so if you have a question or remark, please e-mail us (email@example.com) or send us a message to our facebook page (slateandnature) and we will always come back to you. We apologise if we haven’t replied on your comments.
Thanks and regards,
This beautiful Nuthatch was seen by Peter on his Slate and Nature Bird feeder; This bird feeder can be hung vertical (like here) or horizontal. For more information, see our brochure page on our website.

Spring has finally arrived and the first birds have started nesting. It is already busy at our boxes and Susan sent us this picture which she took last week of her Blue tit at the Slate & Nature blue tit box. We are looking forward receiving more pictures of the birds in action ……..

The wonderful summer evenings are approaching; watching the spectacular red nights when the sun goes down indicating the next day will be fabulous. Sitting in your garden, chatting away among friends or with your partner, good glass of wine and a quality piece of cheese. Not to forget the details of fine dining when serving the cheese on a Mouse Platter of S&N. Made from a piece of redundant (unused-> NEW & NOT recycled; but disregarded by builders) slate to guarantee it is clean/fresh in combination with food.
Excellent present; at the moment I made a few for the coming market, but soon available in our Studio.
